Join us for our T|H|C Juneteenth BBQ, a digital celebration of Black resilience hosted by our creative-community. (please read the entire description)

Our evening of programming will feature:

1) A live panel discussion featuring Black scholars, artists, engineers and educators

2) Live music curated by Black DJs and artists

3) Open Mics for Black artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs to share their work,

and 4) a Juneteenth themed Hackathon 🔌

Okay sounds good but how the food finna work?

This event is BYOB (bring yo own bbq) or more specifically (buy your own bbq). Our ask is for people participating to patronize a Black-owned restaurant on the day of our BBQ as an act of solidarity. We will be using the EatOkra platform to learn more about black owned restaurants near you that you can patronize.

The goals of the evening include:

1) Celebrating a history of Black Diasporic resilience amidst systems of White Supremacy through food, art, conversation & tech

2) Discussing ways our community can move forward in unity with solidarity to the many intersectional struggles we're facing

3) Spotlighting Black creatives and entrepreneurs doing amazing things with their personal and professional work

4) Creating a space of design-thinking and problem solving to expose more people to digital activism & technology knowledge 

All Non-black POC and White People™ committed to Anti-Racist and Pro-Black ideologies are welcome to attend 💕
